Game Development Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the benefits to working with Octagon to create my game?
A: Octagon creates the optimal game for your requirements at a lower cost and on schedule.

Q: We are creating a game based on a licensed property. Can Octagon work in that environment?
A: Definitely, we have worked with many top properties and have relationships with licensors throughout the world. Our team will ensure the approval process moves smoothly and does not unnecessarily delay the release of your game.

Q: How many games has Octagon recently completed?
A: Octagon has finished or is in the final stage of completing nine projects to include four DS titles, three PS2 titles and two PC games.

Q: What if we already have an in-house producer and testing staff?
A: During the first phase of the project, Octagon assesses your needs to see how much support you wish to provide and how much project management is needed from Octagon. Octagon’s proposal will be based on providing the appropriate level of support for an on-schedule, high quality project.

Q: How can Octagon provide development services at a lower price than most traditional game developers?
A: Octagon’s relationship with over 1,500 contractors matches the required technologies and competencies to each client’s varied needs. Rather than recreating the wheel, we create a team of proven contractors and leverage their genre and platform expertise to improve existing technology. Additionally, many of our contractors are located in low cost regions (Eastern Europe and Asia), where overhead is significantly less than that of a typical U.S. or west European development team.
